Event description

Description

With the large skills gap in STEM industries in Scotland, businesses are looking for more innovative methods of upskilling their staff. Graduate Level Apprenticeships (GLAs) have been created by Skills Development Scotland in partnership with Universities and Employers as a method to upskilling new or existing staff to University level qualifications through work based learning.

Whether you've already been researching GLAs for your business or this is a new concept, Edinburgh Napier University are delighted to offer you the opportunity to speak with our staff, employers and apprentices about the benefits of GLAs to your business.

Come along to Waverley Gate where Peter Proud, Managing Director at Cortex Worldwide, will discuss the reasons he has signed up to the programme and how he sees it as a key component to the continued growth of his business. You will also hear from Cortex's current cohort of Graduate Level Apprentices at Edinburgh Napier University on their experiences so far and why they enrolled.

These informal talks will be followed by a FREE drinks reception and networking, where you can meet employers of other businesses considering the programme. We will also be available to answer any questions you may have such as how our courses are delivered, expectations as an employer and future developments. We can also provide information on our current course offerings: BSc IT Management for Business, BSc Software Devleopment and BEng Cybersecurity.
