Event description

Description

Event hosted by the Law Society of Scotland & Edinburgh Napier University

Join us for a thought-provoking day that offers the opportunity to catch up on policy research, to hear the voice of students and trainees, to find out more about contextualised recruitment and to take part in fruitful discussion about how we can move forward together. There is no one solution but rather a range of coordinated actions that will enable progress.

Whilst we know there are a range of factors affecting diversity, our focus during this event is on supporting the journey from university to successful solicitor. We want to ensure that it is talent not background that enables students to enter and progress within the profession.

We are also pleased to be joined by Project Scotland who will lead an interesting conversation about millennials in the workplace.

Who should attend?

  • University staff supporting law students or interested more generally in social mobility

  • Colleagues from law firms - particularly those involved with diversity, recruitment and talent management

  • Students and solicitors who are interested in social mobility and graduate recruitment

In this Year of the Young Person - why not invite a student or trainee solicitor who might identify with this conversation to join your group at the event. You can book up to 3 tickets on one booking
