With Rise Up at Newcastle Careers Service

This event is specifically aimed at recent graduates and is a complete beginners guide to self-employment and tax returns.
You will work in small groups so that all your individual questions can be answered, and subjects will include the following:
- Self employed and PAYE
- Registering as Self Employed through HMRC
- Stages of the registration process
- Important documents, dates and deadlines
- Tax returns basis
- Pit falls to steer clear of
- Keeping records
There will be time for a Q&A following the discussions and there will be information packs to take away following the session. And there will also be pizza!
This session will be led by the Careers Service from Newcastle University and is therefore most applicable for Newcastle University Alumni who have graduated in the last three years.
If you are not a recent graduate of Newcastle University you are still welcome to attend, but some of the advice on offer about the post-talk services that the Careers Service offer to recent graduates will no be applicable to you.
