Event description

Description

The annual Graduate School Conference brings together postgraduate researchers from all of the University's faculties. It is a fantastic opportunity to present your research, find out what research goes on across the University, share ideas and meet fellow PGRs.

This year we are delighted to confirm James Hayton as our opening keynote, author of PhD: An Uncommon Guide to Research, Writing and PhD Life (2015) and a successful PhD blog.

Througout the day there will be chance to hear from current and recent PGRs at LJMU in a series of mini keynotes and panel discussions, covering a range of topics on PhD life. The conference will also showcase research in a variety of formats:

- A poster competition

- The University-wide final of the Three Minute Thesis competition

- Screenings of Research Short Film competition entires (films produced by PGRs)

The conference is also celebrating 2017 as the centenary of the PhD. There will be an exhibition (and cake) to help mark this occasion.

The event is being organised by the PGR Reps with support from the Graduate School. Please contact Victoria Sheppard in the first instance with any queries: v.m.sheppard@ljmu.ac.uk or tel 0151 904 6478.
