Event description

Description

The below information is purely for the graduating students:

It’s that time already! Here’s what you need to know…

--

1) Academic robes:
If you are receiving a BA, MA, PGDip, PGCert, or DipHE, you'll need to hire the appropriate academic robes for the ceremony. This can be done by selecting ‘Moorlands College’ as the institution on the Ede & Ravenscroft website, and then following their online process. Note that graduation robes will be in the University of Gloucestershire colours.

https://www.edeandravenscroft.com/graduation-services/

Students receiving a CertHE should dress smartly, but do not need to hire robes.

You will be able to pick up your pre-ordered robes in the room Stour between 11am and 12.30pm. You will also be given the opportunity to have photographs taken and to have a finger buffet at this time, so please manage your time carefully.

--

2) Professional photographs:
There is an opportunity to have professional individual and family photographs taken on the day; both on campus before the ceremony, and of you receiving your award with a handshake at the Priory. These can be ordered in advance through Ede & Ravenscroft. Alternatively, you can just order and pay on the day (although prices may be higher). Card mounts supplied with larger photographs have the College name embossed in gold, an excellent memento of your achievement!

In addition, a group photograph of all Graduands will be taken in Christchurch Priory before the ceremony and a 10x8" print of this will be available to order after the event. You will be able to access group shots taken by Ede & Ravenscroft via their website.

3) Graduation finger buffet:
A finger buffet will also be served on campus between 11am and 12.30pm. You may invite your family, local church placement leaders and anyone else you would like to be present, but there is a limit of five guests and you must let us know numbers in advance by reserving tickets.

There is a small charge of £7.50 per person for any guests over the age of 10 you invite to the finger buffet.

PLEASE NOTE:
1) Graduands will not be charged, and children under 10 can eat free of charge (but still need a ticket).
2) Let us know of any special dietary requirements.
3) Let us know if any of your guests have specific access requirements for attending either the college or the Priory.

--

4) The Ceremony at Christchurch Priory:
This year’s Graduation speaker is theologian and speaker, Don Carson.

There is no charge for the ceremony at the Priory, and no restriction on the number of guests but we will make two tickets available to each of you for ‘priority’ seating, enabling two of your guests to sit in an area with a clear view of proceedings. Such seats will be reserved until 1.50pm, after which they will be open to all. The columns across the Priory are an impressive feature but they also cause partially obscured views in some areas of seating.

Please note that there is no allocated parking at the Priory, so those attending should use one of the public Pay & Display car parks nearby. It will be busy as it’s a Friday afternoon, so please allow plenty of time for travelling from the College.

- Schedule at college:
11am. Arrive at college.
11am–12:30pm. Finger buffet in the Hub / photographs, gowns and hats from Stour.

5) So, to conclude...

Your checklist:
