Graffiti-Art for beginners
Event Information
About this Event
Stencil-cut sprayed graffiti art, as popularised by artists like Banksy, has become hugely popular. We will show you how you can make a simple paper-cut stencil. We will begin by explaining how this works and what is (at what is not) possible, feasible, practical and easy with paper stencils and hand-cutting. It is therefore quite important not to miss the beginning.
- It would be great if you have an idea for a design to bring with you – but you may need to modify this once the process is explained, so please be ready to be open-minded about your design. Alternatively you might want to wait and come up with something on the day, which is equally fine of course.
- The workshop provides the spray-paints, paper, pencils, scalpels etc. for you to use.
- We will also provide one blank white art canvas on which to do your artwork and you'll be able to take this away with you at the end.
- The paints we use are permanent colour. Clearly there is a risk therefore that if you get paint on your clothes, they could mark them so please wear (or bring) something suitable that will not mind getting accidental paint on it.
- The workshop is generally for over-16's only, but pairs of tickets are available to parents bringing a child over 12 years.
