Graham Music presents: reflections on trauma
Event Information
About this Event
We’re delighted to announce that Graham Music, an internationally recognised clinician and trainer in the field of attachment and neuroscience, will be visiting Cornwall to present this one-day seminar and workshop. The seminar will be of interest to psychotherapists, counsellors and all those working in related fields.
Formerly Associate Clinical Director of the Tavistock’s Child and Family Department, Graham Music now works as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist at the Tavistock and Portman Clinic and an Adult Psychotherapist in private practice. During this full day training, Graham Music will offer his understanding of how early experience effect emotional expectations and psychological patterns. He will demonstrate how, what starts as appropriate adaptations, can become defensive coping strategies, and how relational, attachment and body-based nervous system templates become deeply ingrained, profoundly affecting life-trajectories.
The morning will comprise of a seminar illustrated with slides, video-clips and clinical material. The afternoon will allow for more experiential participation; an exploration of the days themes through clinical/case discussion.
Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day but lunch is not, for reasons of price accessibility. A communal space to eat and socialise is available.
