course description

Have you ever had a grant application rejected and not really known why and what you need to do get it accepted?

This course will go through some common reasons to why funding applications are unsuccessful and tips to help you to make the assessor realise how awesome your service is. Using the requirements of the National Lottery Community Fund as a working example, we will cover how to gather relevant evidence to demonstrate how good the proposed new project is and ways of getting a new project idea co-designed by people from the community.

This course will be based on real life examples and delegates are encouraged to send copies of unsuccessful applications to Nicola beforehand so she can use anonymised examples of the top issues found and she is willing to give individual feedback on failed or in development funding applications at a reduced rate for people who have attended the course.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

    • By the end of the workshop delegates will be able to:

    • present relevant evidence to support their bids in line with National Lottery Community Fund requirements,
    • know how to provide assurance to the reviewers that the service will be delivered and evaluated to a high standard, and
    • know how to engage the community to ensure that new projects are co-designed with local community input and reflects what people want
