Description

Grant Interview seminar
Thursday 12 October 2017, 10:00 - 11:00
Location: Cruciform Building B404 - LT2, Gower Street, WC1E 6BT

Prof. Sarah-Jayne Blakemore (Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience)
Simone Bryan (MRC Programme Manager for Non-Clinical Careers Strategy)
Dr. Lorenzo Fabrizi (MRC Career Development Fellow)

Getting grants and fellowships is an important requirement for a successful career in Neuroscience. In this seminar you will get important insights into the final and crucial phase of the process: the interview.
The seminar is aimed at PhD students, postdocs and PIs that are in the process of applying or already preparing for their interviews and will provide the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. The three speakers will provide you with three different perspectives, including that from a professor at UCL who sits on grant and fellowship interview committees, a representative of the Medical Research Council funding agency, and a UCL academic who was previously successful with an interview and application.

On behalf of the Neuroscience Careers Network committee:

Jasper Poort (j.poort@ucl.ac.uk) and Sandrine Wauters (s.wauters@ucl.ac.uk)
