Description

Aim of the course: This course is aimed at those who have some experience of grant writing; it is suitable for any organisation wanting to gain grants for work in Peterborough including community groups, faith based groups, minority ethnic groups.


Couse expectations:

  • Community Groups will improve their skills and confidence in writing grant application thereby improving their chances of securing funding;

  • Identify ways to make informed decisions when writing project plan and cost for grant applications;

  • Learn ways of upskilling group members to offer relevant input to grant applications;

  • Groups will have a tool kit to refer to when writing their grant application


Relevant Standards: Fundraising Regulator—good practice This is a non-accredited workshop attainable by all levels of ability. A St Philip’s Centre/Near Neighbours Certificate of attendance will be given to candidates and each will be supplied with copies of fundraising toolkits, a power point presentation and a manual of tools and examples.


Wokshop leader: John McCallum, Near Neighbours Coordinator John has 30 years of experience of faith based community development and fundraising and brings to the workshop the experiences of many communities from across the UK.
