Tea & Coffee Will be Served. Talks start at 13.15

If you are in a digital business (developer, marketing agency, artist and more!) that is looking to explore opportunities to fund a creative digital project - this is for you!

Grants for the Arts is an open access funding program for individuals, organisations and people who use the arts in their work. Arts Council England offers awards from £1,000 to £100,000 to support a wide variety of arts-related activities, including projects that involve digital and creative media.

This session will provide a basic introduction to Grants for the Arts and how it can support creative media activity. There will be an opportunity to talk in more detail about prospective projects.

The session is aimed at individuals and organisations that have limited experience in making an application to Grants for the Arts. The session welcomes graduates, emerging artists, local businesses or anyone who is thinking about how to get grant funding for arts-related creative media and digital activity.

To learn more about what Creative Media means to Arts Council England please seehttp://www.artscouncil.org.uk/how-we-make-impact/creative-media

The session is led by Kate Murphy, Relationship Manager Creative Media and Nikki Harrison, Relationship Manager Combined Arts North. Both Kate and Nikki have assessed and advised on the development of many Grants for the Arts applications with a focus in moving image and digital practice. Kate has produced award-winning short films and has programmed local moving image events across Manchester. Nikki has specialisms within photography, dance, live art and outdoor arts. Her experience includes employment at Contact Theatre and Cornerhouse.
