Grapevine Open Meeting: Cyber Crime by Sean O'Neil

We are delighted to welcome our guest speaker Sean O'Neil, who will be talking about his experiences investigating cyber crime, which is a risk to all businesses.
Sean O’Neil L.Lb (Hon); MSyl; has extensive law enforcement experience having served for 30 years in UK Police service. He was a fully qualified ‘Senior Investigating Officer’ (SIO), with vast experience in dealing with ‘Critical incidents’ and ‘Crisis Management’ affecting organisational reputation. These included Murder, kidnap, extortion, product contamination; and wider reputational incidents such as Slavery, Large scale frauds and internal matters. He carried out investigations in several other countries and also prosecuted overseas; by assisting foreign Courts and Governmental bodies.
For the past three years he undertook a regional loss prevention, security, and investigations manager role for a large ecommerce company. He headed an internal investigation unit, investigating serious & organised crime attacks on the company from supply chain, transportation, internal staff, vendors and customers. Working with legal and Police to prosecute offenders. He investigated large-scale counterfeit allegations and high end Cyber enabled crime such as fraud on the company. He is a physical security auditor with experience in managing physical security infrastructure projects & new builds. He is now tasked to provide cyber security advice to business; to help prevent cybercrime attacks and bring companies together to learn and tackle cyber enabled crime.
