Description

Outdoor stories

Suitable for those who have some drawing experience or have attended the introductory course. Inspired by graphic novels, visual diaries and reportage we will work alternately on location in interesting places around Brighton, and in the studio. Using a sketchbook you will be guided through weekly drawing and writing tasks including ‘randomising’, gathering visual research and sketching from life. Back in the studio, you will learn ways of developing this material into your own visual storytelling, and will produce a vibrant diary.

Basic materials including a sketchbook will be provided, but students are encouraged to bring additional art materials if they wish.

Costs: £135
Days: 10 Monday mornings
Times: 10:00 - 12:00
Dates: 21 January - 1 April (no class 18 February)
Room: Red
Maximum: 10
