Great Fen Little Bugs - Summer Term

Calling all mini-wildlife explorers...Little Bugs is here! Come and join us for a fun morning of exploration and discovery here on the wonderful nature reserve at the Wildlife Trust Countryside Centre, Ramsey Heights.

This group is for pre-school children and encourages outdoor play and discovery. As it's the school holidays, bring older siblings too! The aim is to build confidence of being in the outdoors for both children and their guardians and to connect with your local nature reserve. Enjoy crafts, story time and play in outdoors in this lovely location.

Proposed schedule (subject to change)

• 5th June - World Ocean Day. Make your favourite ocean animals from recycled materials.
• 12th June - 30 Days Wild. It's the week to move in nature so try some wildlife yoga with us!
• 26th June - Baby Birds. Learn about different bird nests, look and listen for chicks and visit the bird hide.
• 10th July - Pond Dipping. Discover the tiny animals living under and on the water.
• 17th July - Incredible Insects. We're going on a bug hunt and will design our own insects.

Activities may vary and try to be outside so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. We will serve a drink and fruit snack but please feel free to bring your own or a packed lunch to enjoy after your session.

Thanks to generous funding from the Hospital Charity Shop in Ramsey, we are able to continue offering the reduced price of just £2/3 per child.

Please note, bookings close 24 hours before the event and a minimum attendance of three paying children is required for the session to run. All booking fees will be refunded if we are not able to run. Thank you.

Find us at The Wildlife Trust Countryside Centre, Chapel Road, Ramsey Heights, PE26 2RS. The What3Words location is https://what3words.com/revision.basically.film. Please park in the main car park (second entrance, through large gate). From the car park, head towards the Countryside Centre building where our team will meet you.

The nearest train station is Huntingdon, 12 miles away.

The 31 Stagecoach bus stops on Ugg Mere Court Road but please be aware that this route is a loop and does not return along the same stops.

A photographer may be present at the event and taking pictures for Wildlife Trust BCN use so please let us know if you'd rather not be included. Children will have an adult asked to complete a media consent form.
