JDRF are proud to once again have charity places in the hugely popular Great North Run for 2024, and we want YOU to join us.
With 60,000 runners taking part and thousands more spectators on the side-lines, the atmosphere is electric! The 13.1 mile route takes you through the streets of Newcastle and over the iconic Tyne Bridge, finishing in sunny South Shields where you can celebrate with your friends, family and fellow runners. The Great North Run is an event for everyone - whether you are an experienced runner, or this is your first half marathon.

How much do JDRF charity places cost?
Registration fee: £35
Minimum fundraising target: £350
The money you raise will go towards pioneering research into developing and improving treatments for type 1 diabetes, which we hope will one day lead to a cure.
You will also be helping us to provide ongoing support to those affected by type 1.
