South of the River Thames, an ancient landscape of woodland and wooded commons once covered the high ground between Deptford and Selhurst.

The Great North Wood was gradually lost as London expanded, but fragments still remain. Join us to learn about the history and wildlife of this ancient landscape.

The walk will start at One Tree Hill, passing through Brenchley Gardens, Camberwell Old Cemetery, Sydenham Hill Wood, Dulwich Wood, Dulwich Upper Wood and finishing in Crystal Palace park by the train station. The route is approximately 4.5 miles.
