Tourism Event of the Year 2014, the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair brings an inspiring and dynamic retail event to Old Granada Studios from 8-11 October.
The 175 UK designer makers in: ceramics, jewellery, interior textiles, fashion design and accessories, glass, silversmithing, wood and furniture, have been specially selected by industry expects so visitors can be sure they’re seeing and buying the best.
For collectors and those looking for an investment piece, there's Ornament: a curated selling exhibition of museum quality collectible craft from eminent UK makers.
New for 2015, are maker demonstrations, craft workshops, installations, talks, tours, films and interactive opportunities with this year's artist in residence, Harriet Lawton,
With such a wide variety of work to buy, the GNCCF provides something for everyone. It's a great day out for anyone who loves the idea of buying something unique and hand-made, who wants to learn about the process or meet the makers and listen to the story behind the work. See something you like but want it bigger, smaller, in a different colour etc, you can speak to the maker and commissioning your own unique piece. Get involved. Get inspired. Shop.

Ceramic workshops run by Zoe Lloyd, Royal College of Art graduate, will take place daily and last approx an hour. The cost to take part is £20 including all materials, equipment and firings. Places are limited so advance booking is advised. Places can be booked via this site.

There is a central credit facility to pay for goods by card, should the exhibitor not have their own. Note we do not accept American Express. There are cash machines a short walk away.
The GNCCF is fully accessible by wheel chair users and motor scooters with wide aisles. There are disabled toilets on site There is very limited on site disabled parking but there are bays on Quay St and on the NCP Water St car park.
