Event description

Description

This walk circles the Great Orme and provides spectacular sea views at every point. It's rich with wartime history, wildlife and dramatic scenery.

The route follows the “invalids walk” path at the back of the town and through Haulfre Gardens which are the remains of extensive terraced gardens first laid out in the 1870s by Henry Davis Pochin - a Victorian industrial chemist, the inventor of white soap and the founder of Bodnant Gardens. Opened as a public park in 1929 they offer panoramic views towards Conwy and over Llandudno.

The walk continues to North Shore - LLandudno's main beach with its long Victorian pier and wide promenade, following the coast path back around the Great Orme

We will end the walk with refreshments at the Lilly. across the road from where we started.
