Great Place (Creative Connections): Creative Citizen Masterclasses

Thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Arts Council England through the Great Place Scheme, the Barbican and London Borough of Waltham Forest (LBWF) are launching the Creative Citizen Masterclasses next month.

Masterclass Programme Outline:

Thursday 26 April, 7pm-9pm, Today Bread. Arts without Boundaries. A panel discussion with the Director of Arts of the Barbican, Louise Jeffreys, Chris Sharp- Contemporary Music Programmer and Toni Racklin Head of Theatre at the Barbican. The discussion will be chaired by Chloe Osbourne a creative producer, agitator, artist and member of the Change Collective.

Thursday 17 May, 7pm-9pm, Centre17. Corporate sponsorship & Investment. A masterclass with Michael Heaven, currently the Brand Partnerships Manager (Festivals) for Global. Key assets include Printworks, Festival No.6, Lost Village, Field Day etc.

Thursday 21 June, 7pm-9pm, William Morris Gallery. An intimate evening with Artichoke on creating legacy work, outdoor art and learning & participation projects.

Thursday 13 September, 7pm-9pm, Centre17. Fundraising Masterclass with the Arts Council England. This Masterclass will be run by Relationship Manager for Theatre Cheryl Gallacher and Hannah Bruce, Relationship Manager for Touring.

Thursday 4 October, 7pm-9pm, Centre17. Business planning and creating strategies for creative entrepreneurs with Susan Mumford from Be Smart About Art.

Thursday 8 November, 7pm-9pm, Centre 17. Marketing: Articulating your brand with creative agency Umbrella
