About this event
A Group Reflective Space Exploring Symbolism, Storytelling, and Unconscious Processes
📅 Starting 3rd November – Meeting Weekly for Seven Weeks
⏰ Mondays, 8:00 – 9:30 PM (UK Time)
📍 Online via Zoom
💰 Fee: £150 (covers all seven sessions)
Overview
Several myths and fairy tales are deeply embedded in both group analysis and psychoanalytic theory, serving as symbolic frameworks for understanding unconscious processes, relational dynamics, and existential themes.
Each session will explore a different story, considering its therapeutic implications, symbolic motifs, and archetypal imagery. Together, we will reflect on how these tales connect to our lived experiences, group dynamics, and unconscious meaning-making.
Session Structure
Each 90 minute session includes:
📖 Story presentation – Reading or viewing relevant excerpts
🔍 Brief theoretical exploration – Thinking through its psychoanalytic and group analytic relevance
💬 Group reflection – Experiencing how discussion shapes collective understanding
The aim is to experience the stories in action, meeting reactions, symbols, and associations along the way.
