NEW FOR 2017! Our Green Explorers programme runs monthly from March to December for young adventurers aged 8-12 years. Explore some of Edinburgh and The Lothian's wild places. Spot wildlife, climb trees, build fires, learn tracking skills, explore our rivers, go wild-food foraging, rock-pooling, get creative with beach art, build shelters, learn to whittle and carve, take part in outdoor cooking and of course, get to know lots of great new friends. Ticket sales close 1 week before each session date.
- All sessions run on a Sunday from 10am to 3pm each day.
- Children should bring a packed lunch and a water bottle.
- Please check each session for meeting point as it varies.
- Places are limited to 12 per event.
- Maximum purchase of 4 tickets per event.

23rd APRIL: Roslin Ramblers. Meet at Tynecastle High School. Transport provided to/from site
Explore the secrets and mysteries of Roslin Glen. See if we can spot any wildlife, whittle, hunt for mini-beasts and take part in some wildlife olympics.
21st MAY: Animal Agents at Bawsinch. Meet at Bawsinch Nature Reserve, Duddingston Road West
Fancy yourself as a bit of a private eye? Find out about how you can track and trail animals and then put your sleuthing skills to the test and become an animal agent! Explore the ponds and look for frogs!
18th JUNE: Pentland Explorers. Meet at Tynecastle High School. Transport provided
Glencorse Burn and Flotterstone. Find out about what lives in Glencorse river, explore the woods in the Pentlands Regional Park. River dipping, raft and dam building. PLEASE BRING WELLIES!
23rd JULY: Wild Food Foraging Feast. Meet at Tynecastle High School. Transport provided
Get in touch with your inner caveperson to forage for lunch at Capielaw! Build a fire and have a cookout!
20th AUGUST: John Muir & Yellowcraigs. Meet at Tynecastle High School. Transport provided
