The inaugural Green Finance Summit is a two-day symposium showcasing the latest in green financial policy, market developments and thought leadership

Speakers will include world-leading experts in green finance, from business and technology representatives to investors, financiers and high-level government figures. The focus for the Summit will be commercial opportunity and achieving the “scaling-up” of green finance globally, as targeted by G20 leaders last September.

Discussion on Day 1 will specifically address project finance and policy incentives. A new dedicated Latin American stream will run in parallel focusing on Financing Transition in Latin America. Day 2 will explore investor demand for green products, and the role of corporates as both potential green issuers and investors. All discussions will make clear the primacy of private-sector and investor leadership, mixing set piece podium speeches with deep-dives into key policy and market areas.

Join us at this key event as it brings together key business and political leaders from across the globe for high level discussions on the future of green finance.

Hosted by the City of London Corporation and Principles for Responsible Investment.

Latin American stream co-hosted by Canning House, Eversheds Sutherland and CAF.

Green Finance Initiative - City of London

The City of London Corporation – the body responsible for running London’s Square Mile – regards green finance as prudent, profitable and one of the best tools available in the race to cut carbon. In January 2016, we launched our Green Finance Initiative in partnership with government.

The initiative brings together international expertise from across the financial and professional services sector. It aims to:

  • Provide public and market leadership on green finance
  • Advocate for specific regulatory and policy proposals that might enhance the green finance sector worldwide
  • Promote London and the UK as a leading global centre for the provision of green financial and professional services
