About this event
Are you a Marches based SME looking to grow your green credentials?
This event will introduce you to the top grant funding and support schemes available in Marches, that can support you in:
- Accessing business grants for energy efficiency, growth and innovation
- Accessing support and funding to develop & commercialise green products and services
- Reducing costs and driving down the environmental impact of your business – save energy = save cash whilst building genuine and valuable green credentials
Business Energy Efficiency Programme (BEEP) offer FREE energy and resource assessments and grants of up to £20,000 for small and medium sized enterprises in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
The Marches Renewable Energy (MarRE) grant scheme is designed to encourage eligible applicants based in the Marches to apply for a 50% grant towards the installation of renewable energy generation on their premises.
Centre for Research into Environmental Science and Technology (CREST) – supports businesses and start-ups with any environmental or technological developments, with the aim of increasing their productivity. Open to businesses in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
The Low Carbon Opportunities Programme (LOCOP)will provide funding to help to businesses in Shropshire to develop low carbon products and services.
Energy & Bioproducts Research Institute (EBRI), Aston University - help for businesses in the Marches to develop low carbon products and services from redundant material, such as manufacturing, agricultural, packaging, food and drink waste.

The Midlands Energy Hub is BEIS funded initiative to help support the capacity of LEPs and Local Authorities to identify and deliver local energy strategies and projects.
Craig Baker, Meres & Mosses Business and Environmental Network (MMBEN)
Shropshire Wildlife Trust, MMBEN brings together organisations from across Shropshire and surrounding regions, to learn, share best practice and demonstrate commitment to environmental best practice.

This event is fully funded and free to eligible businesses to attend.
We appreciate that sometimes there are good reasons why businesses are unable to attend workshops, however if you are no longer able to turn up, please cancel your ticket through Eventbrite.
We require 48 hours cancellation notice prior to the event (in order for us to offer your space to another business)
