Green Grants workshop
Event Information
Description
Does your community group, school or social enterprise have loads of ideas for environmental projects, but can’t find the funding? Come along for info & advice.
There is no magic answer, but St Albans CVS can give you pointers to increase your chances of succcess.
What will the workshop cover?: This interactive funding workshop will cover the main sources of "green grants", how to use the new Hertfordshire funding database, and some tips on good applications. It will mainly focus on trusts & foundations, and touch on crowd-funding. It will not cover private sector sponsorship.
Who is this for?: It is ideal for community groups, schools and social enterprises with ideas for environmental projects that need to find funding. Trustees or staff can come along; ideally the person who will be writing the funding application.
Who is it run by?:
- Kate Newton, Funding and Development Manager, St Albans CVS
- Catherine Ross, Chair of Sustainable St Albans Week and founder of Get a Little Greener
Please note:
- You will be in small groups, so advice will not be specific to your organisation, but you will have plenty of chances to ask questions.
- It is useful if you come with a real example of a project that you are trying to fund.
Timing: Thur Nov 24th. Choice of hourly sessions 3-4pm, 4-5pm, 5-6pm.
Price: FREE (special offer for Sustainable St Albans Week, normally £30 to non-members of the CVS)
