The Light
Since they first met at university, Flo and Harry have introduced each other to new worlds of music. They are two gifted musicians who are eager to share their light. Taking inspiration from what they both love, you can expect to hear acoustic covers by artists such as Rival Sons, Jeff Buckley, Nothing But Thieves and Fleetwood Mac.
Love Loba
Love Loba is the sweet baby child project of Marisol Eichborn (guitar), Anastasia Pettinato (drums), and Kaila Cooper (bass). The all-female indie-punk group met in London at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance. Their influences include Wolf Alice, Angel Olsen, and Amyl and the Sniffers to name a few. With a proclivity for roaring melodies and a high-energy performance you can expect to be dancing and a total part of the sonic experience. Their songs are about heartbreaks, heart-ons, and societal/political issues. They want to inspire their listeners to chase their day dream- Plan A all day!
NIVMH
NIVMH is a 22-year-old singer/songwriter from East London backed by a wavey 5-piece band!
Project Culture
Project Culture are a 4-piece Art Rock band from London, who live up to their name through their blending of various different forms of pop culture in their songs. Just as inspired by books, films, tv and stand-up comedy as they are by music, the band draw from both ‘high’ and ‘low’ culture to create something truly their own. They’ve been praised by BBC Introducing for their “post-punk energy and the sense of urgency in the songwriting”, with Gary Hill being commended for his affinity for “addressing and transforming clichés into original turns of phrase” in his lyrics, deconstructing and re-purposing everything from old idioms to banal self-help phrases in an effort to make something new and cathartic out of them.
Rather than remaining tied to a signature sound or niche, Project Culture see genres as tools to help convey the spirit of the song (like different colours in a paint box) and select the sounds they believe will best serve each individual track. Conscious of never repeating themselves, the band have chosen to drastically depart from the sound of their previous single - the acoustic 'Drunk on Valentine's Day' - and will be releasing the Dance-Rock infused 'Green Ring-Necked Parakeets' on the 12th of August.
