After Film Discussion: 7:45-8pm
Inhabit is a feature length documentary introducing permaculture: a design method that offers an ecological lens for solving issues related to agriculture, economics, governance, and on. The film presents a vast array of projects, concepts, and people, and it translates the diversity of permaculture into something that can be understood by an equally diverse audience. For those familiar, it will be a call to action and a glimpse into what's possible - what kind of projects and solutions are already underway. For those unfamiliar, it will be an introduction to a new way of being and a new way of relating to the Earth. For everyone, it will be a reminder that humans are capable of being planetary healing forces.
ABOUT OLD TREE
Old Tree is a cafe, brewery and drinks garden, next to the Brighton and Hove Wood Recycling depot on Lewes Road.
We produce botanical drinks for edible landscapes and our mission is to close the loop in food and drink production by returning all the nutrients we use to land as compost, to create fertile soil, and continually invest in edible landscapes as we grow to increase biodiversity, food security and local abundance.
We run events from our cafe at Field Brighton at Preston Barracks - which is home to the Field BTN makers project.
The space can seat up to 50 people and is ideal for film screenings, talks, debates and community meetings. There is a big outdoor carpark, free to Woodstore and Old Tree customers.
The Drink Forest garden we have created can seat many people and 50% of it is wheelchair accessible.
We offer bespoke drink and catering services for all events and also give complete edible landscaping, brewery and composting tours.
All funds being donated to Old Tree to develope their botanical food forest this summer, for creations of even more delicious, local drinks!
