About this Event
Little Hands Design’s new exciting session specifically designed to make your life more sustainable through sewing. Green Stitch – Green Switch.. ditch wipes, plastic bags, etc and make your own. Repair and up-cycle your clothes OR simply learn how to use the sewing machine. Socialise with people taking steps towards a more sustainable daily life. All materials are donations that would have ended up in landfill.
26th March *Stitch In* Special - In response to recent political events.
6-6:45pm Join us for a 'Stitch In' where we will be sharing the art of protesting through stitch and craft and how this has been used a vehicle for many to have their voices heard, be inspired to make your own voice heard through stitch. And discuss how SDG 5: Gender Equality is part of solving the climate crisis.
6:45pm-7:30pm MIC Fashion project and Our Neighbourhub will lead a more in depth discussion around equality issues and the project they are planning to bring together and empower the local community. (Due to the sensitive nature of the conversations this session is to be Adults Only.)
Registering for this event will grant you access to both sessions. Feel free to join either one or both.
