About this event

Edinburgh Greens are delighted to welcome author, academic and activist Kristen R Ghodsee, in conversation with Holyrood candidate Kate Nevens.

Author of "Why women have better sex under socialism", "Red Valkyries" and "Everyday Utopias", Kristen will be sharing her experiences of studying Eastern European socialist histories and the feminist lessons political movements must not forget. Kate will be exploring how her feminism has been shaped by international activism, and what the Scottish Greens can learn from other nations. Chaired by Cllr Alys Mumford, this Green Talk is set to be a though-provoking evening of feminist chat and challenging ideas. Join us, and bring a friend (open to non-members, all are welcome!).

Please note our new time of 7pm start (members’ meeting) and 7.45pm (for the talk when non-members are welcome).

This is a hybrid meeting so you can either join in person at The Quaker Meeting House or online (Zoom link will be provided on the day a few hours before the start of the vent).
