The Task:
We'll be working on raking the chalk grassland, helping to create a welcoming habitat for butterflies.
Timings (please note these timings are approximate):
10.00: Minibus departs from Wycombe Lido
10.15: Arrival on site for safety briefing, please don’t be late!
11.30: Tea & coffee break
13.00: Minibus arrives back at Lido, work finishes, time to go home!
What to Bring:
Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.
Long trousers are advisable as there is thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.
Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. If it's hot bring a hat and suncream.
Please bring plenty of fluids. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.
Please note:
Biscuits are served at all Chiltern Rangers sessions. Please advise if you have an allergy.
Sometimes there is a need for us to use power tools that can be noisy.
Anything else?
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you want to discuss anything further on 01494 474486 or email info@chilternrangers.co.uk.
