Event description

Description

“Open the door to Inverclyde and the Greenock Cut” giving a totally new perspective to Doors Open Day, this circular tour takes us into the hills behind Greenock to appreciate the flora and fauna on our doorstep and understand the geography and geology that makes up our area. It will also give us the opportunity to see the town from a new angle from above. We will head to Greenock Cut visitor Centre at Loch Thom where we will be met by a Ranger from Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park who will take us on a short walk along the Cut, weather permitting. Alternatively, the Ranger will give an illustrated talk and there will be time to visit the interactive exhibition in the centre. As we head back there will be spectacular views across the river to the hills of Argyll.

Bus access may not be suitable for those with mobility restrictions.

(Free car parking is available at the adjacent Hastie Street Car Park)
