Greenpreneurs training: How can you use it?
Event Information
Description
Do you know people who, with a bit of training, could create new, green businesses? Do you have students or staff who would benefit from a coached experience of entrepreneurial working in renewable energy?
The Greenpreneurs course is an intensive 12 week ‘Learning by Doing’ programme to train professionals to lead the creation of companies and self-managed teams in the energy efficiency and renewable energy sectors.
The course was developed and piloted in 2016 by a group of EU universities including UWE Bristol. It was co-funded by the EU Erasmus+ programme.
The training handbook and curriculum guide will soon be freely available. A train-the-trainers course has also been run and is available.
This city-centre, lunchtime session will give you an overview of the course and seek your views as to how it could be used in the UK.
The course was designed for unemployed or underemployed people with previous professional experience or knowledge in the energy efficiency and renewable energy sectors in the built environment. However, it could be adapted for other groups e.g. as an internal course for an organisation which wants its staff to develop a more entrepreneurial approach or as a component in an apprenticeship programme.
You are invited to join members of the UWE Bristol team who developed the course and delivered the pilot to hear about their experience and discuss your opportunities to use it.
