In March 1807 Beethoven premiered three major pieces at the Vienna home of his patron Prince Lobkowitz. The Coriolan Overture, the Fourth Piano Concerto and the Fourth Symphony. Together they make a striking and positive programme. For the concerto the GCO is joined again by the remarkable young pianist Misha Kaploukhii.

What's so special about this programme?.

These three were written in the same period of Beethoven's life and premiered when he was 37 at a private concert at the home of one of his Patrons, Prince Lobkowitz . Hearing them together provdes an insight into Beethoven's work at that time and allows us to hear them together as he first did.
