Greenwich Foreshore Walk
Mon 13 March 2017, 08:00 – 09:30 GMT
Join the Thames Discovery Programme for a guided foreshore walk at Greenwich and learn more about the fascinating and unique archaeology and history of the River Thames. The Greenwich foreshore is one of the most fascinating and changing sites on the Thames. Of particular interest are the remains of Tudor jetties, associated with the Palace of Placentia.
Please meet at the river stairs in front of the main courtyard of the Old Royal Naval College (nearest station: Cutty Sark) at 8:00am. This walk for adults will take place on the foreshore and sturdy walking boots or wellingtons are advised. Please note that the foreshore surface can be very uneven. In case of inclement weather, the walk may be postponed or cancelled. Do contact us if you have any questions about the event.
Thanks to funding from City Bridge Trust, our events are free for Londoners aged over 75.
