Event Information
About this Event
The report of the official inquiry into the Grenfell fire on 14 June 2017 is due to be released on Wednesday 30 October. In the wake of its release, we are honoured to welcome Karim Mussilhy, vice chair of Grenfell United to Newcastle University.
Karim will be discussing the fight for justice Grenfell United have led over the last two years, including the discrimination that campaigners now face as a result of their activism.
* Grenfell United is the main group of survivors and bereaved of the Grenfell tower fire. Grenfell United was founded in the days after the fire and works together for community and campaigns for safe homes, justice and change. https://www.grenfellunited.org.uk/
This event has been organised and sponsored by the Department of Sociology and the Power, Inequalities and Citizenship research cluster.
It is free to attend. Registration is not compulsory but will help us with organising.
