About this event
Welcome to "An Introduction to Grief Tending" (BPOC Circle)
Please join us on Thursday 9th October at 18:30 at The Twelfth House in Walthamstow, where we will practice the medicine of grief tending in an intimate circle. This event is for Black and People of Colour.
This space is for those wishing to tend to their hearts in community and lean into the medicine needed in these times. When we gather in circle we can begin to move through the grief we carry and create a rich compost where the seeds of gratitude, love and repair can grow. Many of our ancestors grieved in community and knew this work is not meant to be done alone.

Frequently asked questions
Of course you can. It can be hard to find words for how we feel and what we carry in our body. If you are feeling the call to be here then please come along.
There is no obligation to take part in any of the practices, just being in the space and letting what wants to move through is all welcome and there is no expectation to feel anything at all. Please get in touch if you would like to talk about it further.
This circle is suitable for those that have not been to a grief circle before and can include elements such as journaling, sharing circles, ritual, movement, music, song and meditation.
Bereavements move through us all in different ways and are at different stages. To know how best to support you please get in touch for chat.
