Griffin + Bell 11+ Course
Tue, 4 Apr 2017, 10:00 – Fri, 7 Apr 2017, 13:00 BST
Griffin + Bell has run numerous 11+ courses over the past four years. Participants have been tremendously successful, with the pupils who attended gaining places at St. Paul’s, City, North London Collegiate, Westminster, Eton, Winchester, South Hampstead, Habs, Frances Holland, Highgate, Channing and Latymer Upper, among others. Several of our students have subsequently won scholarships and academic bursaries.
This course is the first in our annual cycle - it is suited to those in Y5, who are preparing for 11+ or pre-tests in Autumn 2017 - January 2018. It runs from 4th - 7th April, 10am - 1pm each day, in a lovely, bright room at the Camden Arts Centre, NW3. It will provide an opportunity for students to revise core material, attempt more challenging topics as a group, and get to grips with the tips and techniques that will stand them in good stead for the school entrance process.
Sessions will be led by two highly experienced school entrance tutors (20 years plus experience between them!) and will cover English, Maths and Reasoning. There will also be mini-workshops in interview technique and exam technique.
As part of the course, each child will have the opportunity to sit a timed paper in both English and Maths, and will be given detailed written feedback to take away. This can be super-helpful for parents wondering which schools might be appropriate for their child, and whether extra tuition or parental support is needed in certain areas
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
We suggest that students attending this course should be in Year 5. Should your child have special circumstances, Victoria would be happy to discuss whether the course would be appropriate.
