Saturday 2nd March 2019: Adults (18-29), Masters (30-39), Directors (Age 40+).
Sunday 3rd March 2019: Children's & Juvenile divisions.
*AGE & WEIGHT DIVISIONS: No-Gi weights are listed first followed by Gi weights; all weights are KG.

*Black Belt Judoka & Pro MMA fighters mst compete at a minimum of blue belt division if ungraded in BJJ.

REGISTRATION
Early Bird Entry: 1st January 2019 - 8th February 2019. (SOLD OUT)
Late Entry: 9th February 2019 - 26th February 2019.

TOURNAMENT SYSTEM
2 competitors in a bracket = Best of Three.
3 competitors in a bracket = Round Robin.
4 or more in a bracket = Single Repechage with bronze medal fight off.
PRIZES
Custom Medals for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places.
WEIGH-INS
Weigh-ins will be conducted up to 2 hours before scheduled contest time.
Athlete's competing in both No-Gi & Gi categories need only weigh-in for the No-Gi event.
Weigh-ins will be in contest uniform (0.5kg tolerance on the scales).
TIMETABLE
A detailed timetable will be published on Thursday 28th February 2019, following the closure of entry (Tuesday 26th February 2019) & correction day (Wednesday 27th February 2019).
Timetable will be published on the GRIP Grappling Facebook Page & an email sent out to the address provided at registration.
START: Contests will start at 09:00 on both days.
COACHING PASS
Please email gripgrappling1@gmail.com to obtain a coaching pass. Minimum grade of purple belt required & maximum of 1-coach per athlete, matside at any one time.
SPECTATOR FEE
£3 per person, children & OAP free.
LOSS & DAMAGE
The organisers will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to property occured through accidents or theft during the day.
AUTHORISATION
This event is authorised by the UKBJJA association.
UKBJJA ranking points are available for all license holders http://www.ukbjja.org
HOTELS
Accomodation is available at the Sport Wales National Centre; additionally there are many options on Cathedral Road, the venue is close to the city centre with additonal options.
TRANSPORT & PARKING
Cardiff Central Bus Station: 5 Minute walk.
Cardiff Central Rail Station: 20 Minute walk.
Parking at Sport Wales National Centre: Free
MATCH-UPS
On the registration page we will offer a number of options in the event of being the only registered athlete within a division; we will base match-ups based on that information and/or provide a full refund in the event of being able to provide a suitable/fair match-up.
For childrens categories if required we will try to match in order of the following criteria; merging weight, belt, age divisions. These are always a last resort & parents/coaches will be contacted in advance of merging divisions.
RESPECT RULES
This event has a zero-tolerance policy regarding inappropriate behavior by coaches, parents/guardians, spectators and competitors.
The referee/organiser has the right to disqualify a competitor or ask a coach to leave the mat area if behaviour is deemed inappropriate.
REFUNDS
Available up to 7-days before the event; we can move an entry to the next event date (September 2019); in exceptional circumstances we may provide a refund.
If we are unable to offer a suitable/fair match-up we will refund.
