GROUNDSCHOOL FOR PFCO (CAA Approved)
Mon, 22 May 2017, 10:00 – Wed, 24 May 2017, 17:00 BST
We provide drone training that is recognised by the CAA and is the minimum requirement to enable you to apply for a permission to undertake commercial work. Our Groundschools are delivered by a CAA approved NQE and Flight Planning/Training by fully qualified pilots.
DAY 1 AND DAY 2
Droneflight provides a 3 day Ground school. The first two days cover the syllabus requirements of the UK CAA. The topics covered are:
- UAS Airspace Operating Principles
- Airmanship and Aviation Safety
- Air Law and Responsibilities
- Navigation Charts
- Human Factors
- Aircraft Knowledge
- Operating Procedures
- Flight Planning
- Theory Examination
During the third day the students are walked through a template Operations Manual that they will use as a basis to complete their own manual. During the course the instructor is on hand to help you with any queries you have on completing your Operations Manual. In addition the students will be given a demonstration of a safe setup that will help the students understand the practical onsite requirements. In addition we will provide you with a completed set of Flight Reference Cards (FRCs).
FLIGHT TEST (included in price)
We do not schedule flight tests for all of our students at the end of a ground school, this is because students vary in capability and preparation. If you meet the flight test prerequisites you can pre-book your flight test to follow the training. However, if you are new to this you will benefit from taking time to train and prepare, scheduling your test at a later date. We will provide you with a set of flight training and planning exercises that you can use to improve your skills after the ground school.
If you want further drone training we offer a Flight Test Preparation Day to help.
