Group Art Therapy
This group is for adults currently living with a chronic or long-term physical health condition. Living with a long-term condition can be challenging, and this group offers a gentle and creative space to explore your experiences and nurture emotional wellbeing.
Before you join, we kindly ask you to complete a short form. Your answers will help us understand your needs, make sure the group is a good fit for you, and shape the sessions in a way that supports everyone. The form can be found on the next page of the sign-up process.
When
Every Wednesday for 5 weeks: 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th (January) - 4th (February) 2026 from 1:30 – 3:00 pm.
It is important if you sign up, to attend all 5 sessions in order to maintain group familiarity and course content and to get the best possible experience from the course. If you’re unable to attend all 5 sessions this time please check back as we will be running this course again throughout the following months so there will be a chance to book on again.

What is art therapy?
Art therapy uses creative media to help you explore and express feelings that may be hard to put into words. It offers a supportive space to make sense of experiences, build self-awareness, and encourage personal growth.
About the group
Through creative exploration, we will focus on:
Understanding and expressing emotions
Building long-term coping skills
Connecting with others who might share similar experiences
No artistic experience is needed, and all materials will be provided.

Small group of up to 6 adults

Jingyi, trainee art therapist and MA Art Therapy student at the University of Chester.
