Group B: Creswell Crags Tour and Activities
Sat 22 April 2017, 12:00 – 14:00 BST
We are pleased to confirm that our April session will be held at Creswell Crags, south of Worksop - http://www.creswell-crags.org.uk/planning-your-visit/how-to-find-us.aspx
Creswell Crags is a limestone gorge honeycombed with caves and smaller fissures. Stone tools and remains of animals found in the caves by archaeologists provide evidence for a fascinating story of life during the last Ice Age between 50,000 and 10,000 years ago.
We will start our adventure with the “Life In The Ice Age” cave tour with Group A having their tour from 10am to 11am and Group B having their tour from 12pm to 1pm.
Group A will take part in their indoor activity from 11am to 12pm and Group B will do their activity 1pm – 2pm.
Creswell Crags standard pricings are:
Children under 16 - £5.50 per child for the cave tour plus £3.00 for the activity
Adult - £7.50 per adult for the cave tour
We have funds available to cover the cost of the tour for children who are YAC members, so you will just need to pay the normal £3 session fee to cover the activity costs. Unfortunately, we cannot subsidise the entry fees for adults or for non-YAC siblings so if you wish to join us then you will need to pay the normal entrance charge.
Before and after the tours and activities you are more than welcome to stay at Creswell Crags to enjoy the restaurant, galleries and stunning scenic walks.
Unfortunately, Leaders cannot transport children or adults in their private cars so you will need to make your own way there and back.
