Why in men, ambition is admired – think: Lord Alan Sugar, Boris Johnson, Mark Zuckerberg, Donald Trump, Sir Richard Branson; and yet applied to women, it’s almost a slur?
From personal experience and research, I observed that when women first began to recognise and protest against our male-dominated society, there was a tendency to adopt the same energies – creating an aggressive, masculine version of womanhood.
Unfortunately, most ambitious women are going about their lives focused on "doing more, to be more." Their mind has been programmed that everything had to be hard.
They’ll work longer hours, attending several events, back-to-back meetings -barely squeeze time for a pedicure.
There’s likelihood that you may well create the perception that you are ‘overly ambitious’
