What is this group coaching course about?

This coaching course is designed to support social work students and newly qualified social workers in bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world practice. We provide a safe and empowering space to discuss challenges, build confidence and develop practical skills for success.

Who is this coaching course for?

This course is designed for: 1) Final year social work students. 2) Newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) in their first few years of practice. The group coaching course will explore the barriers and challenges faced by students and professionals.

How does group coaching work?

Group coaching sessions are facilitated by an experienced social worker and coach. Each session includes: Focused discussions on key social work topics Practical strategies for navigating workplace barriers and challenges Peer support and networking opportunities Q&A and reflective exercises

What topics are covered in the sessions?

Topics include (but are not limited to: 1) Transitioning from education to practice. 2) Navigating workplace challenges as a social worker. 3) Managing stress, self-care and avoiding burnout. 4) Understanding policies and procedures. 5)Confidence building and professional development.

How often do the sessions take place?

Weekly group sessions or bi-weekly (depending on the group’s preference) and last for 90 minutes.

How many people are in each group?

To ensure a supportive and engaging experience, each group has a maximum of 6 - 8 participants.

Is this a safe space for social work students and NQSWs?

Yes! This course is built to center the experiences of final year students and NQSW social workers. We ensure a confidential, inclusive and affirming environment where you can share openly and receive culturally competent support.

How much does the course cost?

The 5 week course is £625 and includes the course worksheets.

How do I sign up?

You can register via Eventbrite, once you have registered you will be sent the group coaching course.

Can I book a one-on-one session instead?

Yes! If you’d prefer personalised one to one coaching session, I can offer one-on-one coaching tailored to your specific needs.

What are the course dates?

The weekly group coaching sessions are 90 minutes from 7pm to 8.30pm (GMT).
