Event description
A three month group executive coaching programme for mid-to-senior design leaders.

About this event

Group Executive Leadership Coaching

As Design Leaders, we spend so much of our time and energy supporting others, that we often forget to look after ourselves. This can lead to short term thinking, personal stagnation, increased stress, and in some cases burnout.

Professional executive coaching can be hugely beneficial, providing the space and structure to think more strategically about our personal and professional challenges. However, while one-to-one coaching is common in the C-suite, it's often harder for Heads, Directors and VPs of Design to make the case for individual coaching.

This is why we are re-running our Leading Design Group Coaching Programme. We first ran this programme earlier in the year and there was such demand for it that we have decided to run it again. You can find out more about that programme and its benefits here.

Delivered by Julia Whitney—the former Executive Creative Director and General Manager of UX&Design at the BBC, turned executive coach—we'll take a small cohort of Design Leaders through a series of six online group coaching sessions, taking place every other week.

The content of these sessions will be led by participants, so could cover the whole gamut of leadership challenges from day-to-day interpersonal issues like raising your influence or dealing with conflict, through to more existential questions around career journey, values and purpose.

One of the things we like most about group coaching is the support you get from your peers. There are many common challenges when it comes to design leadership, and while coaching isn’t there to give you definitive answers, it’s always useful to hear a range of perspectives.

Design Leadership can also be a lonely and isolating role, especially if you’re the only one of your kind in the organisation. So group coaching allows you to meet new people in similar roles, form deeper bonds, and ideally create a support network that extends well beyond the programme duration.

If you've been considering executive, leadership or career coaching, group practice can be a safe, enjoyable and cost-effective place to start. Whether you're interested in dipping your toe in the water, or are looking at this as a route to a more longer term coaching relationship.

Due to the popularity of this programme, there will be 2 cohorts taking place. Each running every two weeks on either a Wednesday or Thursday. All sessions will take place at 4pm - 5:30pm GMT .
