Overview

Specialist safeguarding for leaders, focusing on statutory duties, governance, and strategies to embed a strong safeguarding culture.

One Day Course

This in-person course is designed for CEOs, Directors, Board Chairs, Governors, and Local Councillors—those ultimately responsible for safeguarding within their organisations.

The session will help you:

  • Understand national safeguarding legislation, frameworks, and governance requirements.
  • Ensure multi-agency collaboration and information sharing in safeguarding cases.
  • Strengthen knowledge of risk management, compliance, and regulatory processes.
  • Enhance ability to lead safeguarding initiatives and respond to serious incidents.
  • Develop strategies to ensure that there is a organisational culture that effectively safeguards people using your services , staff and volunteers
  • Implement and oversee safeguarding policies and training relevant to roles and responsibilities

By the end of the course you will be confident in how to promote a culture in the organisation:

  • Where safeguarding and protection is happening throughout the organisation
  • Where resources are available to support and respond to safeguarding
  • Where there are resources for a safeguarding training and supervision strategy.

Expect an interactive day with presentations, discussions, reflective activities, and a networking lunch.
