I, Ilaria @mylifeasila , am organising this group Hike Adventure in collaboration with Qualified Mountain Guide Chris @northern_explorer_ from Primal Mentality.
This is suitable to all level of fitness, however some moderate fitness is required as well as a good head for heights and a desire for thrilling adventure!
PLEASE NOTE: This route includes scrambling. Nothing too technical and a great opportunity to challemge yourself in the mountains and learning new skills whilst supervised and giuided by a qualified mountain leader and a trainee mountain leader.
We will meet at 8.45am at Bryn Glo Car Park on the A5. The approximate postcode is LL24 0DT and after an amazing hike, views and a refreshing wild swim we will be back at car park by 3pm the latest.
This counts in for regular breaks and a longer stop for lunch when we reach the summit of Moel Siabod.
Difficulty: Intermediate/Hard - this is an introduction to scrambling route
Age: 18+
What do I need to bring?
- Walking boots/hiking trainers are essential, preferably with ankle support. No normal trainers of any kind, pumps or sliders allowed.
- Water (at least 2 liters minimum), food and drinks (we also recommend bringing a flask with a hot drink)
- Extra warm layers (the weather in the mountains can change suddenly)
- Waterproof jacket
- Rucksack
- Sunhat and sun cream
- walking poles (optional)
- Sunglasses
- Extra battery for phone charge
- We reccomend bringing a change of clothes to have in the car on your return
- Wild swimming clothing : swimsuit, dry robe/travel towe/ swimming shoes optional but recommended
