About this event

Health • Personal health

Take an hour just for you. This online gathering blends the stillness of guided meditation with the soothing energy of group Reiki. Together they invite your body to slow down, release tension, and return to its natural state of balance.

We’ll begin with a gentle meditation to help ease busy thoughts, lower stress, and bring you into the present moment. Research shows meditation can calm the nervous system, support emotional balance, and enhance focus.

Afterwards, you’ll be invited to rest quietly while receiving group Reiki - a Japanese practice of energy renewal. While science hasn’t yet fully explained how distant Reiki works, many people describe feeling deeply relaxed, lighter, and more energised after sessions.

Even though we’ll meet online, there’s a real power in coming together. Simply knowing you’re sharing this experience with others adds an extra sense of connection and support.

This session is led by Dr Ranaa Farooq, a former GP turned Mind-Body Coach and Reiki healer, who now helps people reconnect mind, body and spirit through science, creativity and energy work.

How to Prepare

  • Find a quiet, comfortable space to sit or lie down without interruption
  • Have a blanket nearby to stay cosy
  • Use headphones for the best sound quality
  • No camera needed - just close your eyes and let yourself be guided

Important to know
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice that is safe for most people. The only situation where it’s best avoided is if you have a recent or unhealed fracture.

Reiki is a complementary practice and not a replacement for medical care, so please continue to follow any guidance from your doctor or healthcare provider.

A closing note
Whether this is your first time or a familiar practice, this is a space to pause, recharge, and reconnect with yourself. An hour to breathe, soften, and remember the calm that is always within you.
