Group Ride to Bulwell Hall & Bestwood Park

Join us for a leisurely 10 mile women's bike ride starting from outside the Pharmacy at Bulwell Riverside, and riding a loop along cycle paths, park trails and quiet residential roads. We'll ride through Bulwell Hall Park and Bestwood Country Park where we'll stop at Dynmo Cafe and picnic area.

We welcome women and bikes of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, we ride at the pace of the slowest rider, stop for breaks whenever you want and promise you will never be alone at the back! One of us will lead, and another will stay at the back so we stick together as a group. This is the perfect chance to build confidence on a bike and meet other women.

You'll be in safe hands. We are qualified ride leaders and mechanics who love cycling. Before and during the ride we will be sharing all the tips and tricks to get the most out of cycling.

This session is organised by Women in Tandem, a Community Interest Company based in Nottingham that aims to support and empower women to ride bikes. It is part of our Travel Well project in partnership with Nottingham City Council and funded by Active Travel England. All attendees will need to complete a registration survey for our funders. You can save time completing it before the ride (click here)or you can complete it on one of our devices after the ride.

Note this ride is for self-identifying women only.

You won't need anything fancy; just a bike that rides, comfortable weather-appropriate clothing, water, snacks and some enthusiasm for cycling!
