Description

How do you apply your principles without compromise?
How do you facilitate change when it feels like an uphill struggle?

Imagine trying to transform the housing market in Kenya to provide affordable homes for the 60% of Kenyans living on less than $2 per day in an economy troubled by corruption.

Grant Smith (CEO of the Hand In Hand Group) is a problem solver. When confronted with the desperate problems of poverty he tackled it the only way he knew how - through business and without compromising his principles. His goal remains to become the biggest housebuilder in Kenya making it possible for the lowest-income person to have access to quality homes and an asset. At the same time challenging other businesses to improve their working conditions and pay fair wages.

In this unique interview Grant will share his personal story, motivation and business insights to challenge and encourage us to think about how we can hold strong convictions and embrace change which creates a positive social impact.
