Description

Make It Studios is Stroud’s newest shared workspace offers hot desking with business support, training, room hire and public classes. Based at Fromehall Mill, just a short walk along the canal path from Stroud town Centre, parking available.

Course details:

An essential two-day course for new businesses who are already trading (up to 3 years), looking at key areas to help you grow. In the company of other early-stage entrepreneurs and start-ups, this course will provide the chance to revise and develop your ways to grow including strategy, finances, and marketing.

Helping you to find solutions to obstacles you may be facing for your business growth, you will leave with an individual action plan and clear next steps.

Open to registered entrepreneurs and start-ups (trading up to 3 years), based in Gloucestershire. NB: Full eligibility criteria applies.

This course is being run by Julie Ellison MBA, Director Make It Studios. Julie is a qualified business adviser and executive coach supporting business start-up and growth since 2002. An experienced trainer and educator, former Entrepreneur in Residence with the University of Bristol, Julie lecturers at Bath Spa University on Social Innovation and Enterprise and is the Visions of Business and Leadership module tutor for Bath Spa Global. As former MD of a specialist business support agency in Bristol Julie has extensive experience of delivering business training and support with partners across the South West and has delivered on national and international programmes. Julie is an associate business adviser for the ERDF funded Social Enterprise and Innovation Programme in the West of England.

This course is taking place at Make It Studios, Unit 7 Block 2 Fromehall Mill, Lodgemeore Lane, Stroud GL5 3 EH.

The Grow your Business two-day course is offered by Start and Grow Enterprise (SaGE); a University of Gloucestershire project, part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). SaGE supports the growth of Gloucestershire-based entrepreneurs and start-ups (trading up to 3 years) through free training, events, networks and resources.

As this course is funded, we need to check the eligibility criteria of all attendees and so completion of a short joining and diagnostic form is needed to secure your place. You will be contacted by sage@glos.ac.uk with these forms once you have confirmed your booking on Eventbrite.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

What should I do if I can no longer attend?

Email sage@glos.ac.uk as soon as you know you won't be attending. Whilst the workshops are provided at no cost to you we will be charged. Therefore please give us the opportunity to offer your place to another delegate.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, you don't. We will have a register of people who are attending the event.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

We need to check the eligibility criteria of all attendees. Therefore if you cannot attend but wish to pass your place to someone else talk to us and we'll review their eligibility.

DATA PROTECTION: This workshop is provided free to eligible participants if you meet the eligibility criteria. We will use the information you supply: A) to provide business support to you and to inform our delivery partners as appropriate; B) to share with the University of Gloucestershire and MHCLG (or their sub-contractors) for monitoring evaluation and audit purposes. We will keep all information you provide confidential and treat it in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1988.
