About this event

As a volunteer you’re chatty, and you’ve got good people skills - isn’t that enough?

Well, maybe not - for voluntary organisations people are at the heart of what we do., and we want them to have a good experience of our services, and our organisation. That all takes some kind of customer service.

In voluntary organisations we may not always call them customers, but knowing how to clearly communicate with people, listen to people, and be patient with people, are an important part of most volunteering roles.

By the end of the session, learners will:

• Identify the key features of good customer service and the skills needed to provide it.

• Self-assess current customer service skills and design an action plan for further development.
